Teams across the world have competed and earned their points, and the payoff is nearly here. The finals for the IEM World Championship are nearing us, and both the teams and the groupings have been determined.
Four teams will represent the NA scene: Counter Logic Gaming, Curse Gaming, Team Dignitas and Team SoloMid. While it's tough to hate those odds, they'll be going up against some of the fiercest competitions currently in the League of Legends scene, including Moscow 5, SK Gaming and World Elite. The full group breakdown:

The IEM World Championship will take place at the CeBit in Hanover, Germany, from March 6 through March 10. Best of luck to the participants; they're going to need it.

IGN Pro League has announced a League of Legends' event at this year's IPL 4. While the specifics of the live event are yet to be determined, we do know IPL4 contestents will undergo an intense online qualifiers phase. Signups have begun today and will continue through Feb. 10th.
Thirty-two teams will participate in this qualifier, but only eight will make it to the live event. Registration is not a guarantee for acceptance; per IPL, team ELO, player ELO and prior tournament experience will also play factors. While we'd be shocked to see the major teams avoid this event, this is still a fantastic opportunity for up and comers to get their hats in the mix.

There are a lot of League of Legends sites out there, and most of them have a lot of bloggers. It's a tall order to keep up with all of it, but don't you worry; we'll do it for you. We like you that much.
Each week, we'll sort out the best blogs, vlogs, podcasts, sites and articles from the rest and compile them into one handy (and also dandy) post for you to use as a guide to the week's League of Legends happenings.
- FourCourtJester kicked us off with a breakdown the elements of casting control for the aspiring shoutcaster. He followed up with tips for reaching a larger audience.
- Among other things, Reginald discussed the current strong AP mid champions in solo queue.
- Xpecial talked about his experience playing on the EU West server.
- DiffTheEnder re-valued the AD items, adjusting for some errors made during the initial evaluation. He then continued his value analysis of AP items, and finally compared the old Stark's Fervor to the new Zeke's Herald.
- Dyrus released a new vlog, discussing champs that are very strong in solo queue.
- Team Dignitas' fifth player spotlight featured support player L0CUST.
- Stonewall tweaked his Sejuani-era jungle tier list.
- ggChronicle's Sotere analyzed the Sejuani patch, specifically looking at the unheralded (but significant) changes.
- Elementz updated his draft-mode tier list for the Sejuani era.
- Obscurica's latest editorial focuses on the lack of support development, pointing accusatory fingers at Riot and the community alike.
- SK Gaming's MrOw interviewed Lou, leader of China's team LoLadies.
- SSJSuntastic wrote about his first impressions of Ziggs.
- Moobeat caught a few tidbits on a rumored Karma rework.

Update: Looks like Ziggs is coming out tonight! Thanks Ms. Slyx-
The evidence is mounting like a ticking bomb- Ziggs might be exploding into League of Legends in a very short time. You want proof? Take a look at the champion spotlight below, courtesy of Phreak. I have to say, I'm really hoping the little guy is viable for top tier eSports play, because I think he has the potential to do some pretty cool things with his mechanics. I can't wait to see some AP mid player pick him up. Either way, take a look below:
Hey, maybe the patch will be coming out this week! In fact, maybe it will be coming out tonight? It seems a little odd that they'd put out patch notes if we won't be seeing them implemented until next week. Either way, here's a few things to look forward to:
- New Bots Implemented
- Ashe Buffs
- Jax Changes
- Sivir Nerfs
- Viktor Buffs
- Smartcast "Range Indicator"
Of course, that's just the general "big" stuff, so if you want to get all the nitty gritty details on the subject, head over to the full post on the League of Legends front page by hitting that source page right below this paragraph. Should be a pretty cool patch.
